Fall River Fire Museum

Preserving the legacy of Fall River's Fire Fighting History.

We are located at 1181 North Main st., Fall River, MA 02720

“The primary Purpose of the Fall River Fire Museum, a nonprofit, tax exempt museum, is to collect, preserve and exhibit artifacts that properly documents the history of the City of Fall River Fire Department in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We are also dedicated to educating the public in fire safety and prevention and to serve as a memorial to those who have given their lives to the fire service.”

Anawan no. 6

This is one of the things we do best in our field

The building itself, Anawan no. 6, was designed by Harwell and Swazey, in the italianate style, and was closed in 2002. The Fall River Fire Museum (FRFM) was formed in 2007 by a group of dedicated volunteers consisting mostly of firefighters having a shared passion in the restoration of Anawan no. 6.
